If you ever have a question about WordPress, the WordPress.com support site is amazing — you can find answers to almost anything there.
This guide to publicizing your blog on social media sites explains how to automatically link your social media sites to your Facebook page, Twitter account, etc. This is very helpful, as it will help build the readership of your blog (and vice versa).
It’s a bit early, but I wanted to put this on your radar now. The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee hires a narrator (blogger)-in-residence each year to interview guests and blog about the unique people and lives that pass through the hotel each year. It’s a super cool gig, and the hotel pays the narrator-in-residence $1,000/month to spend 10 hours per week at the hotel blogging.
Applications for the tenth Pfister Narrator are due on March 4, 2017 with the position running from May 1, 2017 thru April 30, 2018. Learn more by visiting the Pfister Hotel website!
Last week, we talked about changing the background color of your blogs and selecting a specific color from your header image or another photo to match.
As a reminder, you can use Image Color Picker to do that.
Upload a photo, then click on the color you want to match. Write down the HTML code (HEX value) and enter it in the field where you can specify a color for your background (go to Appearance > Background > Colors & Background and click “Choose your own color.”).
That’s all! Have fun!
